Online Financial Fraud Recovery

Every hour matters after an online fraud. Move before the money does.

Fraudsters move stolen money through layers of mule accounts within hours. The window in which that money can be frozen inside the banking system — what investigators call the golden hour — is roughly the first 24 to 48 hours. Acting correctly in that window is the difference between recovery and a dead end.

We handle the complete legal side of financial fraud recovery: immediate reporting through the right channels, precise complaint drafting that banks and cyber cells act on, and recovery petitions that pursue the money where it sits.

Frauds we deal with every week

  • UPI frauds — fake payment requests, QR code scams, screen-share frauds
  • Fake trading and investment apps — stock tips groups, crypto doubling schemes, IPO scams
  • Task and work-from-home frauds — Telegram task scams, prepaid 'commission' traps
  • Phishing and OTP frauds — fake bank calls, KYC update scams, electricity bill scams
  • Digital arrest scams — fraudsters posing as police, CBI or customs officers
  • Loan app harassment and advance-fee frauds

What we do in the first 48 hours

First, the fraud is reported on the 1930 helpline and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal so the Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System can flag the beneficiary accounts. Done correctly, this puts a hold on the stolen funds wherever they have reached in the chain.

In parallel, we send legally drafted notices to your bank and the beneficiary banks, preserving your rights under RBI's customer liability circulars — which, in many unauthorised transaction cases, entitle you to reversal from your own bank if reported promptly.

Recovery is a legal process, not just a complaint

Filing a complaint is the beginning, not the end. Money that has been held needs a legal route to come back to you — through the investigating officer's release process, magistrate orders for refund of held amounts, or proceedings against beneficiary account holders. We draft and pursue these petitions until the money is actually restored, not just 'held'.

Fraud Money Recovery — Frequently Asked Questions

I got scammed two weeks ago. Is it too late to recover my money?

Recovery chances are highest in the first 48 hours, but later recovery is still possible where funds were held in the chain or beneficiary accounts are traceable. We assess honestly after seeing your transaction trail — and we will tell you plainly what is realistic.

The 1930 helpline registered my complaint but nothing has happened since. What now?

This is extremely common. A registered complaint needs legal follow-up: identifying where funds were held, representation to the investigating officer, and refund petitions before the magistrate where amounts are lying frozen. That follow-through is exactly what we do.

Can money sent through UPI be reversed?

UPI transfers are not automatically reversible, but funds flagged quickly are frequently held in beneficiary accounts. Held funds can then be returned through the legal refund process. Prompt reporting plus legal follow-up gives the best odds.
